Food is overpriced, food is basic, and service is bad. There’s Too much good Mexican food in San Pablo to settle.

Absolutely a spot worth trying, the food is awesome and fresh, the prices are fair and it is regularly well kept there. Kudos.

I called in my order as we are supporting #takeouttuesday and enjoying 1 meal on a Tuesday from a small business and they did NOT disappoint . I called in my order and was told 15-20mins for it to be ready for pick up. I was there in 15mins and it was ready. The prices were awesome and not as high as they could be as the quality was unlike anything I have experienced in a while. I fed 7 ppl for under $60. Everyone enjoyed the food and we will be back. Please support small business and support this amazing restaurant.

This place have the best Mexican food in Richmond

The best authentic Mexican restaurant in the bay hands down.

The food is top dollar! Its a little in the pricey side, but you get bigger proportions so it's worth it. The venue is kind of small and there are plenty of seats, so needless to say tables are pretty close to one another, but there is 3 different areas at the restaurant outside that you can eat as well as inside. All outdoor seating is beautiful, it may be hard to choose. Service is amazing! Will continue to eat here!!

Food was nasty, had no flavor. chips were stale, tortilla on burrito was super hard, my 5 year old didn’t even eat her favorite baby plate she said it was nasty! Concha was nasty too, even the steak sandwich what happened to Portumex? Bad food and bad service girl at the counter left me talking to my self take a phone order twice. I grew up on 23rd eating Portumex on regular basis this was it I am not coming here anymore. Is not what it used to be plain food without flavor

My go to place in Richmond. They have gotten pricey, but quality and super clean.

The food is amazingly good and everything is reasonably priced too. And the service staff are very polite with outstanding service skills.

Great escape from Richmond. It's like you're in Mexico during your meal. The food is high quality and served fast for lunch too.

I certainly enjoyed their dishes and customer service, great location nearby to my apartment. The cashiers are always super nice. Will come back again.

This is my go to restaurant for Mexican food anytime in Richmond, CA. They have the best tasting burritos, taco's, lunch plates and others which I haven't been able to encounter anywhere else in Richmond. Located on 23rd st in a rustic home, this restaurant has a beautiful outdoor sitting area at the back of the restaurant. The outdoor sitting area is shaded and gives you the feeling of sitting in your own backyard enjoying a hearty meal and as always the food is never disappointing.

Five stars in their category. Significant improvement since the last time I was there. Food tasted very fresh and in good quantity. If you like Coca cola with your lunch order the one in a bottle and a glass full of ice on the side. It's the best tasting Coke. It's Mexican and made with sugar not high fructose corn syrup.

Slide through here for lunch and get a plate with the horchata that be on 🔥. The chips and salsas aways on point. You won't leave hungry. It's nice to chill out on the back patio and sip on a Chelada as well as the day drifts by. Enjoy and say Hi to Axl at the front

In the past food used to be the best, had great flavor, tqste qas everything. Bur its been a while that foos has lqcked in everything. Price went up and food quality went down... way down. Not going back again.

Chicken enchiladas or chicken fajitas? That's my problem every time I come here!!! Everything is so damn good and hella fresh! The carne asada tacos are sent from the taco Gawds!!!

Bumping to full 5-star after my carnitas lunch this week. Carnitas goodness, salad, guac, rice, beans, great tortillas all for $8.Damn these are good enchiladas! Clean, excellent service. Nice place to hang out for lunch and very reasonable.

Service and food is delicious, but over the years their quality has been going down. The "camarones a la Diabla" plate is no longer as good, and its price has been going up every year

Fast friendly service. Good fair price. Quick to table you could easily squeeze in for lunch. Limited parking. Also have patio seating

I have so many memories from my childhood in this place.My uncle use to send me to pick up food from here almost every week.It was nice to see same people serving our food.Great customer service and delicious food. Portumex is one of my favorite restaurants in Richmond. Their burritos, tacos, and enchilada's are to die for. I could go on and on about their menu but I recommend that you visit and experience the food for yourself.

This is one of my favorite places to get Mexican food. Service is great food is delicious. They have vegetarian options. I got and veggie burrito it was delicious . I also got nachos with cheese , guacamole and sour cream.The person I was with got beef enchiladas dinner and a taco . We were so full and couldn't finish all our food . Leftovers for dinner
